Chapter 107: Learning to fly

Posted on 16 January 2018 by admin

In July 2017 I became FAA Chapter 107 Certified, as WTVR CBS 6 begins adding drone cameras to the field. First, there is learning all of the information to pass the test, but then one still has to learn to fly.

I started flying in September, about once a week.

Here is a reel of the past four months of flight.

Angel of Hope

Posted on 14 September 2010 by admin

This video was created as part of a school project where my team worked with a local nonprofit to develop a social media campaign. We wanted to show the real statistical truths of child abuse as well as the services/solutions that Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) offers our community.

I did the video concept and script and also contributed to editing and song choice.

Following the squash trail

Posted on 04 July 2010 by admin

In partnership with the Central Virginia Food Bank (CVFB), Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens created the Community Kitchen Garden.  This is the second season Lewis Ginter has grown vegetables for the CVFB. Lewis Ginter makes weekly deliveries of produce to the CVFB, and the annual goal is to deliver 10,000 lbs. of produce. CVFB uses the vegetables for its Meals on Wheels and Kids Cafe programs. The partnership will save the CVFB around $18,000, while providing citizens with a local source of fresh, healthy food.
